Sally Kerr, Upper Falls Resident, Grandmother

Sarah “Sally” (MacDonald) Kerr of Newton Upper Falls died on Aug. 6.

She graduated from Our Lady’s in 1934 and was an avid Bruins fan, according to an obituary on the Burke Family Funeral Homes website.

She was the wife of the late Alfred G. Kerr, mother of Alicia E. Kerr of Newton Upper Falls, George and his wife Rosemarie Kerr of West Roxbury. She was daughter of the late Roderick D. and Alicia E. (Goff) MacDonald, sister of the late Madeleine Woodland, Alice Fitzpatrick, John, James and Roderick MacDonald, and grandmother of Theresa and Rachael Kerr.

Funeral services will be at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., In West Newton, on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9:30 a.m, followed by a Funeral Mass in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church in Newton Upper Falls at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours are Sunday, Aug. 11 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
