In a statement, former State Representative and former Ward 2 Alderman Peter F. Harrington said, “Emily Norton is my candidate for Ward 2 Alderman. Emily grew up in Newtonville. She has a Masters degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School. She worked in the Clinton Administration. She has three boys at Horace Mann and owns an environmental consulting business. She is capable, experienced and able to work successfully with people of differing opinions. She was the leader in getting agreement to build the Newtonville ice rink. As pressure mounts to change the face of our villages to urban pockets, we need a strong voice to represent Ward 2 on the Board of Aldermen. I recommend her without qualification.”
