Regulation Could Stop Dog and Cat Rescue in MA

A proposed regulation that would have the effect of making it almost impossible for most rescues and shelters to operate within MA is set for public hearing THIS Tuesday.

All breeders, backyard, responsible, or puppy mills, are exempt from these proposed rules and are not governed by any similar legislation or equivalent regulation in the commonwealth.

The proposed regulation was promulgated by an organization of breeders and exhibitors which has a profound anti-rescue bias.

COMMENTS CAN BE SUBMITTED UNTIL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, at 5pm EDT.

Please read and submit your comments. Even out of state folks and animals are affected by the rules for brining animals into MA.
