Boston College Student Killed in New York City

Senior Kelly Gordon was reportedly in the city for job interviews.

Boston College student Kelly Gordon was killed Thursday after she was struck by two taxis in New York City.

Gordon was walking with her sister at about 11:30 p.m. on the Upper East Side when she was struck by a cab, thrown into the opposite lane of traffic, and hit by another cab, according to the New York Daily News.

Gordon was in the city for job interviews, a BC official said.

At BC, Gordon was a student in the Carroll School of Management. She was from Brielle, New Jersey.

Barb Jones, BC's vice president for student affairs, said Gordon was a popular student who studied marketing and finance.

"I ask all of you to keep Kelly and her family in your thoughts and prayers and to support each other during this difficult time," Jones wrote in a letter to students.
