Car Crashes into Utility Pole on Rte. 9, Delays Expected

Police are on the scene.

A car crashed into a utility pole causing it to snap on Route 9 westbound near Emerson Street, according to a alert.

The car is still entangled with the pole, according to the alert. The right lane is being blocked and only one lane of traffic is getting by.

Traffic is backed up to the Route 128/Cedar Street area, the alert says.

“Emergency crews are working to remove the car and the pole, however, we expect to be on scene for the next four hours,” the alert says.
