Find Out When Newton's Winter Parking Ban Begins
The parking ban starts soon, so don't get caught and get a ticket.
The early snow Tuesday morning provided a stark reminder that winter is on its way, and along with it is the Newton winter parking ban.
The Newton Police Department announced that the overnight parking ban begins on Friday, Nov. 15 and runs through April 15.
During that time no vehicle, other than one acting in an emergency, may be parked on any street, way, highway, road, parkway or private way dedicated or open to the use of the public for longer than one hour. The hours that the ban is enforced will be between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Violator’s will be fined $5 dollars.
