Man Follows GPS onto Wrong Road - a Rail Road

The MBTA's Green Line shut down for a time Wednesday night after a man drove onto the tracks at the Waban Station and got stuck.

The driver, who has not been identified, was in the parking lot of the station and said he followed the directions given to him by the GPS, according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

The driver made it about 125 feet before coming to a stop at about 7:40 p.m., Pesaturo said.

Some T employees and bystanders helped push the van off the tracks, and train service resumed at about 8:04 p.m.
