Newton Police Chief Hearing Available to View Online

The complete dismissal hearing, which was held last week, is available through NewTV.

For nearly six hours last week, lawyers argued and witnesses testified in a dismissal hearing for Newton Police Chief Matthew Cummings. 

Now, video from the Oct. 11 hearing is available on the NewTV website

Cummings is accused of verbally humiliating his former secretary and another female police officer. He was also accused of kicking his former secretary, Jeanne Sweeney Mooney, in the foot.

Following last week's hearing, , citing Cummings' behavior as "unbecoming a police chief."

The hearing was made public, per Cummings' request, and the City Hall room was packed with onlookers.
