Newton Police Log: Bicycles Stolen, Couple Steals from CVS
The following information was provided by the Newton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Aug. 16:
A man took items out of a package, and a woman took a trial-size hair spray from CVS on Watertown Street. The man was described as being in his 30s, 5-foot-8, and wearing a white T-shirt and blue cargo shorts. The woman was in her 30s, and wore blue jeans and a purple shirt.
Two bicycles were stolen from a home on Woodchester Drive while the residents were at work. The bicycles were both Specialized Robauix bikes, one black and one red.

Police arrested Timothy Joshua Stetson, 20, of 221 Hillcrest Road in Needham for domestic assault and battery.

Someone entered a fenced off construction area at the Newton School Administration building and took three framing guns and a set of cordless drills.
A Crescent Street resident said her son’s bike was stolen from the house. It is a red Schwinn bike, which she believes was stolen from the yard.
Aug. 20:
Deidre Marina Bryant, 20, of 63 Hamlet St. in Newton, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
