Newton Police Log: Purse Stolen from Legal Seafood, Man Drives into Fence

Nov. 16
Police arrested Michelle J. Holland, 45, of 26 Dalby St. in Newton, after Quincy Police reported she was looking for her in connection to a domestic assault and battery case.
Police arrested Victor D. Mejia-Perez, 31, of 20 Charles St. in Waltham, on charges of unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, marked lanes violation and violating a red light.

A woman dining at Legal Seafood was told that someone went through her bag and when she looked she found her wallet was missing. The suspect was seated at a booth behind the victim, and was seen bending down, going through the bag and then left through the rear entrance. The suspect is described as a black female, 5-foot-7, wearing dark clothing, a rust colored floppy hat and a dark scarf that partially concealed her face. The victim’s credit cards were used at the Apple Store and Bloomingdales.
Police summonsed a 50-year-old Holbrook woman for threatening to commit a crime after allegedly making threatening phone calls.
Police arrested a man after he got into an accident where he drove his vehicle into a fence on Hobart Road. Maxwell T. Housman, 28, of 38 Wachusett Road in Newton, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
