Pedestrian Injured When Car Drives Off the Road

The pedestrian suffered leg injuries in the accident.

A pedestrian suffered injuries Tuesday afternoon when a car drove off the road and into a garage on Donna Road.

Newton Police and Fire personnel responded to the report of a vehicle into a building at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Newton Police Officer Eric Rosenbaum.

A pedestrian’s leg was injured by the car, Rosenbaum said. It is not clear whether the person was walking on the sidewalk or in the garage.

The person was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston to be treated. The extent of the injuries was not available.

Police are still investigating the accident.
