Man Robbed While Walking Home in Chestnut Hill

A man was allegedly robbed near the intersection of Hammond Street and Middlesex Road while walking home from work April 29, police said.

According to reports, the victim told police he was crossing over from Hammond Street to Middlesex Road when he heard a man running up behind him. When he turned around, a dark-skinned black male wearing a tan polo shirt and red hat said "show me the money." The suspect took the money and fled down Middlesex Road toward the Brimmer and May School, reports said.

Although the suspect reached into his pocket, the victim said he never actually observed the suspect with a weapon, police said.

Homeless Man Arrested

A homeless man was arrested April 30 near the intersection of Washington Street and Cherry Street, reports said.

Chester Roy Stonequist, 47, was charged with failing to register as a sex offender, police said.

New York Women Caught Stealing

Two women from Brooklyn, New York, were arrested April 28 after they were allegedly caught stealing clothing at Bloomingdale's in the Mall at Chestnut Hill.

According to police reports, the women were spotted going into the dressing rooms with several items where they allegedly removed security tags from the clothing and concealed the merchandise in their bags. Loss prevention stopped the females as they attempted to exit the store.

Crystal Renee Tomlin, 20, of 180 Troy Ave. 6F, and Elesha Anna Dieudonne, 18, of 999 East 38th St., were each arrested for larceny over $250, reports said.

Stolen Firearms

A Newton man faces multiple charges after police arrived at his house to investigate reports of stolen firearms.

Anthony M. Piselli, 21, of 30 Woodrow Ave., was charged with larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card and breaking and entering into a depository, police said.

Minor Car Accident Leads to Stolen License

A man allegedly had his license stolen Tuesday after he got in a minor car accident at the intersection of Hammond Street and Middlesex Road. While exchanging information after the accident, the man told police the other man in the accident stole his license and sped down Route 9.

Man Arrested After Altercation on West Street

A Newton man was arrested near West Street Tuesday after a woman called police reporting she was being followed by a drunk male.

Roger B. Britton II, 40, of 382 Watertown St., was charged with two counts of assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, reports said.

Waltham Man Arrested for Violation

A Waltham man was arrested Wednesday after police responded to Charlesbank Road for reports of a violation of a restraining order, reports said.

Richard Odell, 60, of 80 Colonial Ave., was arrested for a 209a violation, police said.
