Police Log: Stolen Cell Phones, a Fight and an Arrest After an Accident

Stolen wallet, passport

A man came in to the Wednesday to report that his bag was stolen after he left it at the Cheesecake Factory in the . According to reports, both cash and the man's passport were inside the bag. 

Stolen bike

Police responded to Maynard Street Tuesday after a resident reported his bike was stolen from the side of his house. The bike was described as a blue Haro IX bike. 

Warrant arrest

A Waltham man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, reports said.

Michael Nigol Catino, 19, of 18 Brookway Ct., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear as well as charges of assault and battery. 

Stolen cell phones

A man told police Wednesday that someone stole his black iPhone 4S out of his locker while he was at the , reports said. 

The same day, police responded to the on Needham Street where a woman reported her phone was stolen while she was paying for merchandise at the store. 

Fight on Madison Avenue

Police responded to Madison Avenue Thursday where a man reported he had been punched in the face and other parts of his body. 

As a result of the fight, police issued a complaint for a 29-year-old Boston man for charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious destruction of a motor vehicle, police said. 

Attempted break-in

Police responded to Washington Street Thursday after a resident reported someone had tried to break into a residence. 

According to reports, the resident found a hole cut in a screened-in front porch, but the suspect was not able to gain entry. 

Keyed Car

Police responded to the 200 block of Derby Street Friday after a resident reported his car had been keyed sometime Friday evening. 

According to reports, the man parked the car early in the evening and when he returned later that evening, he found key scratches on the car's hood, roof, trunk, doors and side panel.

Arrest after pedestrian accident

A Newton man was arrested Friday morning after police responded to a car vs. pedestrian accident. According to scanner reports, the accident happened near the intersection of Centre Street and Sargent Street. 

Christian Loidl, 39, of 129 Cabot St., was arrested for driving with a suspended license, police said. 

Scanner reports indicated the pedestrian was transported to .
