Vitamin scam at Whole Foods
A 30-year-old woman will appear in on charges of shoplifting after she allegedly tried return stolen merchandise at the last Tuesday (Oct. 11)
According to police reports, the woman took three large bottles of vitamins and placed them in her purse. She then walked over to the customer service desk and attempted to return the vitamins for money.
The woman was spotted on a security camera, reports said, and charged with shoplifting over $100.
More counterfeit bills
According to reports, the store owner of the on Washington Street told police that someone had passed a counterfeit $20 bills on Oct. 6 and Oct. 9. Both incidents happened during the morning hours, reports said.

Newton man arrested on warrants
A Newton man was arrested Thursday (Oct. 13) on two warrants, reports said.
Vadim Amitan, 27, of 655 Sawmill Brook Parkway #17, was arrested on a warrant out of Los Angeles as well as another warrant issued out of Dedham (MA) District Court, police said.
A man told police Tuesday (Oct. 11) that a laptop he had purchased online was stolen from outside his home.
According to reports, UPS delivered the package at 3:58 p.m. and when the man got home around 5:45 p.m. the laptop was missing.
Multiple students at also reported stolen laptops last week.
One girl told police on Wednesday (Oct. 12) that her Apple laptop was stolen from her dorm room.
Another student reported on Wednesday that her Apple laptop had been stolen as well, sometime between 12:25 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. that day. Her roommate's Dell laptop was also stolen out of the dorm room.
Jacked bike tires
A man told police Wednesday (Oct. 12) that someone had stolen both his bike tires while the bike was locked to a fence in the Verizon parking lot on Centre Street.
According to reports, the man said he left the bicycle chained up around 7:45 a.m. and when he returned around 2:10 p.m., both 29-inch mountain bike tires were stolen along with parts of the break system attached to the tires.
- Winchester Street; sometime between 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 12), someone ransacked a car parked behind the .
- Hammond Pond Parkway; sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 11) and 8 a.m. Wednesday, someone broke into an Audi that had been parked in the parking lot at 2 Hammond Pond Parkway.
- Grant Avenue; sometime on Tuesday (Oct. 11) someone entered an unlocked car parked in a driveway and stole several items.
