Police Log: Teen Charged in Stabbing

Teen Arrested for Stabbing

Police arrested a 17-year-old on Sunday, Feb. 2 after he allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old old man on Bontempo Road.

Police received a call from the Newton-Wellesley Hospital emergency room about a stabbing victim. Police spoke to the victim and then went to Bontempo Road where they arrested the teen and charged him with assault to murder.

Two Cell Phones Stolen

Newton Police responded to the AT&T store on Boylston Street after a man reportedly stole two cell phones on Jan. 31.

The man entered the store, grabbed the two phones off the stand and left the store running toward the back of Shaws, according to police.

The phones were a Galaxy S4 Zoom and a Galaxy Note 3.

The suspect was scheduled as a black male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, who was wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and matching black and red sweatpants and shirt.

 

Man Summonsed for OUI

Police summonsed a 25-year-old Medfield man to court for operating under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Police responded to Watertown Street about a motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles suffered heavy damage and the driver of one vehicle had injuries to his face and mouth.

Police spoke to the man and an officer could smell alcohol coming from the man. He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital and the officer summonsed the man to court.

 

Three Shoplifters Arrested

Police arrested three women for shoplifting at TJ Maxx on Needham Street on Saturday, Feb. 1.

Police arrested Sierra J. Dancy-Williams, 18, 472 Norfolk St., Boston, Teshawnda L. Knight, 31, 91 Ellington St., #3, Dorchester, and Raeshaunna Shanell Armstrong, 35, 266 Normandy St., Boston, and charged them with larceny more than $250.

 

Dirt Bike Stolen

Police received a report of a stolen dirt bike from California Street on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The dirt bike was stolen between Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 and is described as a red and white 2003 Honda CR250. The back tire was not on the bike when it was taken.

 

Car Vandalism on Herrick Road

Police responded to Herrick Road on Saturday, Feb. 1 after a vandal reportedly dumped on a car roof and hood and kicked a front headlight. The car’s owner said the damage happened overnight.

 

Jacket, Lighter Stolen

Police received a report from Washington Street after someone took a man’s jacket on Jan. 31.

The man said he forgot his jacket at a restaurant. When he returned, the jacket and a vintage DuPont cigarette lighter that was in the pocket, were gone.

Police checked video surveillance and have identified two suspects. Police will summons an 18-year-old Boston woman and 21-year-old East Boston man to court on two counts of larceny more than $250.
