Resident Finds Three People Attempting to Break into Newton Centre Home

The incident happened yesterday just before noon.

Three suspects were arrested Tuesday after they were caught attempting to break into a home on Langley Road in Newton Centre. 

According to Newton Police reports, officers responded to a home in the 180 block of Langley Road just before noon on Tuesday, Feb. 12 for reports of a breaking and entering in progress. 

The resident who was home at the time told police he was working upstairs in his office when he heard a loud bang from the rear of his home. When he went to investigate the noise, he observed a male, who was wearing a baseball cap and a hoodie, looking into his kitchen window.

The rear door had visible dirt marks under the door knob, police said, and the door was cracked in the lock area. However, entry was not gained.

When police arrived on scene, they were met by a man on the sidewalk who was pointing at a group of three people and stating, "They are right there," reports said. The group was on the opposite side of the street walking away from the home.

The homeowner was able to identify the three people as the suspects he saw at his door, reports said.

Adam Blake Koenke, 23, of 35 Glen Road A, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and charged with defacing property, attempt to commit a crime, possession do distribute a class B drug and possession to distribute a class E drug, police said. 

Rosemarie Elaine Langame, 28, of 18 Desmoines Road, Quincy, was arrested and charged with defacing property and attempt to commit a crime, police said. 

Luz M. Diaz, 36, homeless, was arrested and charged with defacing property and attempt to commit a crime, police said.
