UPDATE: Armed Home Invasion Reported on Falmouth Road

Reports indicate one suspect may be in custody.

Police have one suspect in custody and additional information on the armed home invasion on Falmouth Road.

According to Patch Editor Ryan Grannan-Doll, who is on scene, it appears as though one suspect is in custody on Fuller Street in Waltham, which is a short distance from the reported home invasion on Falmouth Street in Newton. 

Scanner reports also indicate one suspect is in custody on Fuller Street.

Newton Police are currently investigating a possible armed home invasion on Falmouth Road, according to Newton Police Officer Eric Rosenbaum. 

Police are still working to confirm that the incident was, in fact, an armed home invasion, Rosenbaum said.

Police are looking for two males who were involved in the incident who were both reportedly wearing masks and holding a knife.

One K9 has responded to the scene to assist with the search and another one has been requested. 

No injuries have been reported, Rosenbaum said. 

According to scanner reports, Newton Police has requested the State Police air wing to help with the search.

Police have responded to a home on Falmouth Road this afternoon after a reported home invasion. 

According to scanner reports, the invasion involved two suspects who reportedly had a knife.

Scanner reports said one suspect was described as a tall, skinny black male in his 20s with a black shirt and baggy pants. The other suspect was described as a heavy white male with black pants. Both suspects were reportedly wearing masks. 

Police may have stopped one of the suspects just a short ways down the road on Fuller Street in Waltham, according to scanner reports.

A K-9 unit has been called to the scene.
