The suspect posed as someone taking photos for a real estate agent.

At about 1 p.m. on Dec. 6, police received a call from a Highland Street resident reporting that a strange man came into his house.

The man reportedly came into the home and started taking photos with his cellphone, according to Newton Police.

"When the witness confronted him, the suspect stated he was working for the realtor selling his house," according to the police report. "The witness went to call the realtor and the suspect ran out the front door and sped away in a gold colored (Ford) Taurus, with New York plates."

When the resident reached the real estate agent, the agent said he did not send anyone over to the house.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-feet tall, white hair, facial growth and wore baggy clothing.
