A Waban man will stand trial in April on charges connected to a deadly 2010 crash, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said.
Evan Hoffman, 22, is facing charges of motor vehicle homicide, speeding and a marked lanes violation. The charges are in connection to a June 26, 2010 crash that resulted in the death of Jose Puzul-Perez, 43, of Chelsea.
According to Cara O'Brien, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office, Hoffman's trial date is set for April 11, 2012.

Authorities and investigators allege Hoffman was speeding down the eastbound lane of Beacon Street on the morning of June 26 when he crossed over the yellow line into the westbound lane, striking a Ford Aero Star driven by Puzul-Perez.
The crash, which occurred at 428 Beacon St., left Puzul-Perez trapped inside his van. He was unresponsive when Newton firefighters arrived on scene, authorities said, and was removed with the Jaws of Life.
Puzul-Perez was transported to where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.
Hoffman, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee, refused medical treatment after the crash, authorities said.
