Local religious leaders have given their blessing for an increase to the state's minimum wage.

The Massachusetts Catholic Conference this week released a statement supporting the increase. Lawmakers are considering raising the minimum wage from $8 an hour to $10.50.

"Insufficient compensation for labor violates the dignity of the worker and that worker’s family," the statement reads. "A just wage supports the individual, families, and society as a whole."

The statement was signed by Archbishop Sean O'Malley, Fall River Bishop George Coleman, Worcester Bishop Robert McManus, and Springfield Bishop Timothy McDonnell.

Also note the Catholic Church is also responsible for the changing ethnicity in this country. If they didn't have mass immigration of Haitians, Africans, Latinos, they wouldn't have no following and would be out of business because whites in this country ( except liberal politicians) realized what frauds they are!

DJ: thanks for pointing out the paid bloggers posting the same to multiple sites. Yes there is free speech but I like to know when it is paid free speech and paid by whom . Nothing like outing these dudes. same thing happens with the chain e-mails the "pass it on" stuff that starts with a half -truth , then goes into the lie brigade. when you see them using common language like - Nobama, Libtard, Moonbat, Dumbocrat- you know they are reading from the same screen and brain dead from the far right websites . The ones that amaze me are the ones claiming to be uncommitted, analytic- after all that research and reading they all swing to the right. then come the back slappers that know nothing about the subject , just who they like and who they hate. they're more phony than the pretenders. I'm a partisan Democrat; i don't have to pretend.

Tyler (and Tyler's "recommending fan") you do realize you are exactly the persona you criticize? You may not get paid to be a shill for the DNC (although I'm suspicious) but there isn't an ounce of skeptical reasoning in your DNA. Everything Dem= good, everything Republican = bad. We get it. You're as unpredictable as Chris Matthews. So please don't play the poor citizen-poet overwhelmed by the Koch Brothers' PAC's. You're simply part of the George Soros machine on some level. As for your quip about us uncommitted's, I know it hurts your brain to have to think about your adversaries' views in more than two dimensions, but it is possible to be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. Tough to create strawman arguments against those types, but we do exist.
