Newton Mayor Holding Inauguration on Jan. 1

The Aldermen and School Committee members will also be sworn in. Space is limited, so get your tickets now.

Newton Mayor Setti Warren will start his second term with inauguration events on Jan. 1.

The day starts with an interfaith prayer service at Temple Shalom, 175 Temple St. at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. 

On Wednesday, January 1st, residents are invited to join Mayor Warren for his second inauguration.  

The day will start with an interfaith prayer service at Temple Shalom, located at 175 Temple Street, at 10:00am. This event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. To view the flyer for the interfaith service, please click here. 

At noon, the inauguration ceremony will be held at Newton City Hall. Warren will be sworn in along with members of the Board of Aldermen and the School Committee. 

Students from the Newton Public Schools will give a musical at the reception following the ceremony.
 
The inauguration is free, but tickets will be distributed because space is limited. To request tickets, please contact Ana Gonzalez at agonzalez@newtonma.gov no later than Dec. 26.
