Newton Mayor Joining Governor on Trade Mission to Israel, UAE

Gov. Deval Patrick said there has been a 65 percent increase in the number of Israeli companies that do business with Massachusetts since he visited the country in 2011.

Newton Mayor Setti Warren will join Gov. Deval Patrick on a trade mission to Israel and the the United Arab Emirates later this month.

The Boston Herald reported Patrick is calling the trip an "innovation mission" to expand business opportunities. The governor also visited Israel in 2011.

Along with Warren, Boston City Hall Economic Development Chief John Barros, Cabinet members, and other officials will join Patrick on the trip.
