On Friday morning, electronic signs on the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstate 93, and Route 495 urged drivers to "Use yah blinkah."
Photos of the signs went viral on social media. A photo posted by @MassDOT on Twitter was retweeted more than 270 times and favorited more than 170 times. Two more photos made the front page of Reddit.
Through March of this year, police across the state have issued 1,083 citations for failing to signal, according to CBS Boston.
