Blind Football Player from Newton Makes Division 1 College Team

Aaron Golub earned a walk-on spot at Tulane University.

Aaron Golub, a blind football player from Newton, this month earned a walk-on spot on the Tulane University football squad.

Golub is a long snapper. He's legally blind, as he has no vision in his right eye and limited vision in his left.

"There's nothing that you can't accomplish if you really want to do it," Golub told CBS Boston.

He was the long snapper on the Newton South football squad for two seasons. He's been playing football since he was a seventh-grader.
