Newton North Student Wins Scholarship from Siemens

A Newton North student won a prestigious scholarship for a presentation he created with his partner for the Siemens competition in Math, Science & Technology.

Junior Kavish Gandhi and his teammate from Lexington, Noah Golowich, won a $50,000 scholarship for finishing second place in the competition. In November, the team won the Region Three FInals of the Siemens competition.

He first got interested in math when he began noticing naturally occurring patterns when he was young according to an interview with NewtonSTEM.org.
