Boston College Men's Hockey Wins Fourth Straight Beanpot Title

BC beat Northeastern Monday night in the annual matchup between Boston colleges.

BC's Johnny Gaudreau netted two goals and goalie Parker Milner made 24 saves during the match, according to an Associated Press report on CBS Boston. 

Northeastern's Chris Rawlings stopped 24 shots and Kevin Roy scored twice. Roy was also named the tournament's most outsanding player, the AP reported.

The annual Beanpot tournament features games between BC, Boston University, Harvard and Northeastern. The first set of games were played last week, with BC beating Harvard 4-1 and Northeastern beating BU 3-2. 

Harvard beat BU 7-4 in the consolation game played Monday.

The No. 4 BC team (17-7-2 on the season), which currently holds the national championship title, includes a the first class of BC seniors in school history to go unbeaten in the annual Boston hockey tournament, according to the AP. 

The BC women's hockey team will have their shot at the Beanpot title tonight in a match against Northeastern. BC beat Harvard last week 2-1 and Northeastern took down BU 4-1 in the first round games.

The women's championship game between BC and Northeastern will take place tonight at 8 p.m. in Matthews Arena (at Northeastern).
