Newton Softball Team Enjoying Successful Summer

The summer has been good to the 14U Newton Panthers softball team.

The team has taken two tournament titles so far, in Bridgewater and Marshfield.

Newton defeated the host team in the Bridgewater game, winning 2-0. The pitchers threw well all tourney, and the defense came up with some big catches in the final, according to an announcement from the Panthers.

The pitching and defense also played a key role in the Marshfield win, too. Newton again faced the hosts, and came away with a 2-0 victory.
