Nonantum Boxers in the Spotlight at TD Garden, New England Championships

The Newton-based Nonantum Boxing Club recently had a Golden Glove winner and an athlete that fought at the TD Garden in Boston.

Two local boxers have recently had some time to shine in the spotlight, taking home Golden Glove titles and fighting under the lights at TD Garden.

Nonantum Boxing Club's Joey Meuse recently had a chance to fight at TD Garden's A Night at the Fights on Saturday, Jan. 26. According to a press release issued by Nonantum Boxing Club, 19-year-old Meuse faced off against Ryan White of Norwood and won a unanimous decision in what was a crowd favorite bout.

The evening, which also featured a fight with professional boxer Danny O’Connor of Framingham, included five amateur bouts.
