See if It's Game On or Stay Home for the BC-Army Football Game

Saturday's football game has been threatened by the Government Shutdown.

It's game on for the Boston College-Army football game on Saturday!

The Boston College Athletics Department announced Thursday morning that the game will go on after being threatened to be canceled by the government shutdown.

"I'm pleased to announce we will host the US Military Academy this Saturday," Director of Athletics Brad Bates said on the BCEagles.com site. "I'm thrilled our students and those from the service academies will get to play their games this weekend. Thank you, fans, for your patience and understanding the past couple of days. Also, thanks to Army AD Boo Corrigan, who has been terrific through this process."

The Department of Defense gave permission for the Cadets to travel to the game in Chestnut Hill despite restrictions due to the shutdown.

The game will be played at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium and will be shown online on ESPN3.
