This Buzzer Beating Shot by Newton North Will Warm Your Heart

Newton North's team manager finally got his shot during a game at TD Garden.

Brendan Durkin waited patiently on the bench for his chance to get on the court for Newton North's basketball team - for seven years. He finally got his shot during a game at the home of the Boston Celtics.

Durkin is the team's manager, and has Down's Syndrome. At the end of the Tiger's game against Newton South in the Good Sports TD Garden Invitational, Newton North coach Paul Connolly put Durkin in, according to a story on Yahoo! Sports.

He took two shots, and sank the second one right before the final buzzer (click above to see video of Durkin's shot). Afterward, he rapped about it at the post game press conference.

The game was not in doubt, with Newton North winning 81-49. The game was part of the event featuring 14 of the top Div. 1 basketball teams.
