It was a battle of two undefeated teams Tuesday night; but the weather wanted a say in the outcome, delaying it with thunder and ending it early with lightning.

Who needs the Olympics, when you have two local teams battling it out in the pool.

The undefeated Newton Bluefish swim team hosted Framingham Tuesday afternoon at . Both teams were 5-0, entering the meet.

The weather caused havoc with the meet, as thunder delayed the meet right after its start and lightning cancelled the meet early. The final relays did not take place.

In the end, the Newton Bluefish won 236.5 to 145.5. Newton is now 6-0.

More than 400 swimmers competed in the meet. Newton and Framigham are the two largest swim teams in the summer league.

This is the second big week in a row for the Newton Bluefish; last week, the swim team took home its 500th win with a 286-126 win over Sherborn.
