Columbus Day Basketball Clinic

A Columbus Day school vacation basketball clinic for children in grades K-5 will be held on Monday, October 14 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Click here for more info

Newton Community Farm Dinner at Lumiere

A farm-to-table dinner with four courses and wine pairings and locally grown vegetables from area farms - including Newton Community Farm - will be served on Tuesday evening at Lumiere, 1293 Washington Street, West Newton. Appetizers start at  6:00 pm and dinner will start at 6:30 pm. Newton Upper Falls Area Council Meeting

The Newton Upper Falls Area Council meets Thursday at 7 p.m., at the Emerson Community Center, One Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls. There will be a discussion of issues of importance to Newton Upper Falls residents. Newton Music School Presents A Celtic Morning

The All Newton Music School presents "A Celtic Morning" on Friday at 11 a.m. at the school, 321 Chestnut St. in West Newton. Brian O'Donovan, host of WGBH "A Celtic Sojourn" brings an array of talent to Newton. See more info here.

Mount Alvernia Academy Open House

Mount Alvernia Academy will host an open house on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Meet teachers, students, parents and administrators and tour the campus.
