Chanukah Celebration, Thanksgiving Football, Animation Class

Here are a few things going on in Newton this week.

Chanukah Celebration

Beth Menachem Chabad Invites the entire community to celebrate the 1st night of Chanukah on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. There will be music, crafts and food at the free event which features a giant Menorah will be lit. See more here.

Thanksgiving Football Games

Thanksgiving means turkey but before the big meal it is time for high school football. On Thursday at 10 a.m., Newton South hosts Lincoln-Sudbury in the Thanksgiving game. Newton North takes on Brookline at 10 a.m. at Parsons Field in Boston.

2D Animation Course

Animation is everywhere, but how is it created? This fun yet intensive course covers basic to intermediate 2D animation, the way it is done by professionals in the industry. The 13-class course by NewTV starts on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Find out more details here.

"I'm Thankful" Kindermusik Playdate

You are invited to the Suzuki School of Newton's "I'm Thankful," Thanksgiving-themed Kindermusik Playdate on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. We'll sing about turkeys, making dinner, cleaning the house, and going "Over the River and Through the Woods" to visit family. See more here.

Parenting Journey Information Session

The Parenting Journey Experience addresses the connections between how we were parented and how we parent our children. We also foster self-care techniques in a safe, nurturing, interactive approach. The free event is on Monday at 7:30 p.m. See more information here.
