JCC Kids Choice December Vacation Program

Looking for an activity for December school vacation? Kids rule at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC, 333 Nahanton St. in Newton during the JCC Kid's Choice December Vacation Program. Held December 23-24, 26-27 and 30-31 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.). Kids choose what they want to do each day. Activities include sports, swimming, arts and crafts, dance, cooking, board games, rock climbing and more. See more here.

December Basketball Clinic in Newton

A December school vacation basketball clinic for children in grades K-5 will be held on Monday from 9am-noon at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community 
Center, 333 Nahanton St. n Newton. Children will develop dribbling, 
passing and shooting skills and will engage in games with children of similar

Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols

Second Church in Newton will greet Christ, the light coming into our world, and depart to share the light with others on Tuesday at 10 p.m. The Chancel Choir will provide seasonal anthems and lead the congregation in singing traditional carols. See more details here.

Community Day at the JCC

The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton will be open to the community on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Families can engage in community service themed activities such as making blankets for cats for the MSPCA, making birthday cards for isolated seniors and compiling ‘feel better’ bags for sick children at Children’s Hospital. Find out more here.

My Gym Newton Winter Camp

My Gym hosts a Winter Camp in Newton beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The 3 hour drop off camp is for ages 2.5 - 7years. Potty training not required. Games, crafts, gymnastics, music, puppets, and more.
