Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Bring your "Candy Themed" decorated pumpkin to Indulge! - 16 Lincoln Street Newton Highlands, between Monday, Oct. 28-Thursday, Oct. 31. Ages 14 and under. Winners and Prizes will be announced on Halloween Day at 3:30 pm.
Pumpkins should be decorated and/or painted not carved.

Family Book Talk & Signing

Understanding Our Differences announces its second annual fall family book 
event on Oct. 28th – featuring Sharon Draper, two-time Coretta Scott King 
award-winning author of Out of My Mind. This NY Times bestselling children's fiction book is about a brilliant girl with cerebral palsy who longs for a way to speak. Join us on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at Newton South High School Auditorium for this special conversation and book signing. See more here.

Free Flu Shot Clinic

A free flu shot clinic sponsored by Newton-Wellesley Hospital will be offered at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesday, October 29 from 10am-1pm. The clinic is open to adults, age 18 or older. See more information here.

Candidates Night

A Candidates Night will be held Oct. 30, 7 p.m. at Emerson Community Center, One Pettee Street, Newton Upper Falls. Sponsored by the Area Councils of Ward Five. Confirmed attendees include candidates for Ward 5 Aldermen at Large and Ward 2 School Committee. Find out more here.

Free Family Harvest Festival

Come in your favorite character/themed costume for games, challenges, activities, crafts and more this Halloween. This free event at Elevation Chapel, 150 Lowell Ave., Newtonville, will provide you with a safe, fun alternative on Halloween night that will send your kids home with a bag full of candy and other fun prizes and take home souvenirs.
