Just Think: Teens Making Smart Choices

Join the Newton North PTSO on Wednesday at 5 p.m. for Just Think: Teens Making Smart Choices, an expo featuring approximately 30 community organizations. Parents/guardians and all those who help guide teens in making sensible decisions that will lead to a long, happy, and productive life are one focus. Teenagers are the other focus. They can participate in exhibitors’ enriching and fun activities, and they can also learn how to navigate the challenges of academic, peer, and societal pressures in order to stay safe and healthy. Art Reception for Photography Exhibit on North Korea

The Newton Free Library hosts an artist reception on Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. All are welcome to the reception for Photographer, lecturer and international business leader Dick Simon's art show "North Korea: Beyond the Headlines." The show will be on view through January 30.


Irish Music: Paddy Keenan and Jimmy Noonan

Musicians Paddy Keenan and Jimmy Noonan play at the Walsh Hall Function Room at Boston College on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. HearIrish music on uilleann pipes, flute, whistle. The concert is free.

Babysitter Lessons & Safety Training 

Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training is an American Academy of Pediatrics course that covers how to handle the basics of infant and childcare, how to react 
responsibly to medical emergencies and injuries, perform first aid for common 
childhood injuries and illnesses, and set up and run your own babysitting
