Livingston Taylor Sings, Art from Nepal to the Rockies, Holiday Gift Faire

See what's going on in Newton this weekend.

1. Renowned singer-song writer Livingston Taylor will perform at Newton North High School on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to benefit Historic Newton's Durant-Kenrick Fund. After the concert, Taylor will join Historic Newton supporters and event sponsors at a champagne-and-dessert reception. Find out more here.

2. Photographer Jessamyn Martin will make the first showing of photos from her recent trip to Nepal and Jeff Austrian will display his Western U.S. landscape paintings at United Parish of Auburndale, 64 Hancock St., Auburndale. An opening reception will be held on Saturday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. with live music and light refreshment. More info is available here.

3. Newton Choral Society will present “Unity & Contrast” with chorus and orchestra under the direction of David Carrier, on Saturday at 8 p.m. Click here to find out more.

4. A Holiday Gift Faire will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
at the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 440, 295 California Street, Newton. There will be over 50 vendors, raffles, refreshments, and revelry.
All proceeds to benefit veteran's programs. 

5. The Suzuki School of Newton's "I'm Thankful", Thanksgiving-themed Kindermusik Playdate will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. Kids ages 0-5 and their caregiver will sing about turkeys, making dinner, cleaning the house, and going "Over the River and Through the Woods" to visit family. See more here.
