Weekend Agenda: Whole Foods Celebrates 25 Years, Art Reception, History Walk

Here's a look at some things going on in Newton this weekend.

1. The Walnut Street Whole Foods will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a fair on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a jazz brunch on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

2. The Scandinavian Cultural Center hosts an original multimedia installation by Newton artist Robert Mighty. An opening ceremony will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. 4:30 p.m. 

3. Learn about the city's past with a history walk at Newton Cemetery on Sunday at 2 p.m. See more here

4. United Parish of Auburndale hosts a huge church sale on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Find out more here.

5. Pianist Naho Bessho will play at the Newton Free Library on Sunday at 2 p.m.. She will perform selected works of Debussy, Scriabin, Chopin and Beethoven.
