Nestled in a quiet neighborhood and away from the busy streets of Newton is the Jackson School, a private, Catholic elementary school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston. This small school offers traditional curriculum as well as religious education and latin studies for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The average class size is 14-19 students.
Lead by Principal Susan G. Niden, Jackson School offers a variety of clubs and sports as well as an after-school program. It is affiliated with the Walnut Park Montessori School, which is located behind the Jackson School.
