How Would You Rate Newton's Customer Service/311 System?
The city received more than 800 snow-related requests during and after the Blizzard of 2013 -- did you make one of those requests?
Since the Blizzard of 2013 hit Newton, the city has received hundreds of service requests through its 311 customer service reporting system. Between Friday, Feb. 8 and Thursday, Feb. 14, City Hall received 801 service requests related to uncleared sidewalks, unplowed streets, streets needing sanding, requests for streets to be widened, illegal snow dumping and manhole covers that came loose as a result of plowing, according to Citizens Assistance Officer Aaron Goldman. Goldman said the city received 148 service requests between Feb. 11-14 related to uncleared sidewalks.
