How did Aly fare in the series finale?

The crowd fell silent as the results were announced: Aly Raisman was the first star to be sent home, putting the couple in fourth place. "This has been the best experience of my life," the Olympian said as she was eliminated. The crowd cheered wildly at her farewell. Host Tom Bergeron told her that she had made a real impression on the program and its fans. Partner Mark Ballas called her "the best partner I've had in my life." The team was sent off with hugs from the remaining competitors. With Aly eliminated …

One of the show's remaining actors went home last week, and the show announced a tribute to one Boston Marathon bombing victim.
Pineapple salsa won Aly Raisman another week in the "Dancing with the Stars" runnings. That is, a Salsa routine that involved pineapples. Which means that the local Olympian, who got her start in Newton, will be on the show again tonight, at the same old time and channel: ABC, 8 p.m. to 10:01 p.m. She was declared safe about a third of the way into last week's results program. However, the team that wasn't safe was that of actor Andy Dick and his partner Sharna Burgess, who went home. During last week's results show, Host Tom Bergeron announced that the program would also follow the recovery of Adrianne Haslet, a ballroom dancer and instructor who lost her leg in the Boston Marathon bombing. Needham's Olympic medalist survives another round of Dancing with the Stars, another star is not so lucky.
She's still dancing, and she's dancing for Boston. Aly Raisman, Needham's own gold-medaling Olympic gymnast, survived another round of ABC's Dancing With the Stars with her pineapple-throwing performance. "I never shimmied that much in my life." Raisman said behind the scenes, "and I liked it a lot." She was declared safe about a third of the way into last night's program. However, the judges and fans scores end up sending actor Andy Dick and his partner Sharna Burgess home. Burgess was reportedly angry about the judge's treatment of her partner. Following the Boston Marathon bombing, a ballroom dancer and instructor who lost her leg in the attack did announce her intention to dance for the competition. Host Tom Bergeron said they …

Comedian D.L. Hughely goes home. The stars respond to Boston marathon.
Local Olympian Aly Raisman made it through another week of Dancing With the Stars. Last night, the dancing competition sent home comedian D.L. Hughely, who had been scoring low with the judges for the first few weeks of the competition. While Boston is still dealing with the consequences of the marathon explosions, the stars on the program did have the city in mind. The Olympian, who got her start in Newton, dedicated her dance to the people in Boston, and Zendaya sent the city her two 10-point scores from the judges. Before last night's results show, Raisman posted to her facebook account Terrible that yesterday was Patriots day in MA and the Boston Marathon, it was supposed to be a very special day, something where all of Boston comes…

The local Olympic hero, Aly Raisman, continues on ABC's dancing contest tonight.
Hey, did Aly Raisman make it to the next stage of Dancing with the Stars? Yep, she survived last week's round, and is back tonight. Even despite an April Fool's moment with one of the judges during the post-dance critique. "Up until tonight I've been impressed with your dancing," said judge Len Goodman. "Not tonight." But then: "April Fool's!" The Raisman-Ballas duo scored of 23 out of a possible 30, which keeps them near the front of the dancing pack. With her score from the two previous weeks, she has a total of 68 points. As one couple has to go each week, there was an elimination. Last week was country singer Wynona Judd's final week on the competition. There is also something of a feud going on between contestant D.L. Hughely and…
