Aly Raisman Says She Will Train for 2016 Olympics
The gold-medal winning gymnast, who got her start in Newton, told a big crowd at the DCU Center in Worcester she will attempt to make the 2016 U.S. Gymnastics Team.
Gold-medal winning gymnast Aly Raisman announced that she would begin training for the 2016 Olympics, WCVB reported this weekend. Raisman, a Needham native, got her gymnastics start at Exxcel Gymnastics in Newton. She won two gold medals and a bronze medal for the U.S. Women’s Olympics at the 2012 London Games. The 2016 Olympic games will be held in RioDe Janeiro, Brazil, according to the Olympics official web site. Raisman made the announcement at the DCU Center in Worcester this past Saturday while visiting with a group of gymnasts from Brestyan’s.
