Police: Woman Robbed Newton Convenience Store at Gunpoint
The incident happened Wednesday night at the Quick Stop on Watertown Street.
The Quick Stop convenience store on Watertown Street in Newton was reportedly robbed Wednesday night by a woman with a gun. According to police, a female suspect came into the store just after 9 p.m., walked up to the counter and told the clerk, "give me your money." Initially, the clerk said he thought the suspect was joking. But after the initial demand, the suspect pointed a black handgun at the clerk and stated again, "give me the money," reports said. At that point, the clerk emptied out the cash register for the suspect, who took the money and fled northbound down Faxon Street.
