Harvest Fair Shows Off Its Colors

The annual fall event had plenty of entertainment, crafts, food and products to share with the large crowd.

While walking down Beacon Street and Langley Road on Sunday, it was easy to catch the scent of fair food and apple cider. The air was filled with sounds of children and neighbors mingling, arms filled with pumpkins, candy and local-made goods. This year's Newton Harvest Fair drew a large crowd of vendors and patrons as well as the first-ever Green Solutions Expo. Residents from Newton, Needham, Waltham, Watertown, Brookline and many other communities stopped by the annual event. The weekend-long festival was sponsored by Newton Community Pride, Newton Parks & Recreation, Arts in the Parks and the Mayor's Office for Cultural Affairs.
