Campers learn healthy cooking during Beaver Country Day School's summer programs.

The Beaver Country Day School has partnered with Healthy Habits Kitchen in Wellesley to bring healthy cooking classes to their summer campers. Check out the photos of campers learning to cook and try out the recipe below! 1. Chop 1/4 onion and 2 stalks celery small, core 1 apple and dice small 2. Turn on stovetop to medium and add 3/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of water and bring to boil/ 3. Stir in 1 cup dried cranberries, apple, onion, celery, 1/4 cup raisins, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon cloves 4. Bring to a boil and cook 10-15 minutes.

Heart Transplant Patient Speaks on Valentine's Day

Teen Heart Recipient to Spoke at Beaver Country Day School Assembly

The following is a press release from the New England Organ Bank: Organ Transplant Recipient, Grace Kobold, 14, speaks to students at a special Valentine’s Day Assembly. The assembly was organized by Julia Fein, a Newton resident.  CHESTNUT HILL, MA –Beaver Country Day School student, Julia Fein, wants to help increase awareness of organ and tissue donation so she is starting at her own school.  Julia has coordinated a Valentine’s Day assembly where students will hear from Grace Kobold, a 14 year-old heart recipient from Cape Cod.  On Tuesday, February 14, Grace and her mother, Julie, shared their story and explain to the students why registering to be an organ and tissue donor is so important.    Grace was diagnosed at birth with a …
