The "gourmet Asian" restaurant was previously located in the Mall at Chestnut Hill.
Months after the popular Bernard's restaurant closed at the Mall at Chestnut Hill, the "gourmet Asian" eatery has finally reopened next door at The Street. The restaurant opened Tuesday, April 16, according to The Street Facebook page and website. It is located in the new building recently constructed at 55 Boylston St., next to the new City Sports and below Sports Club/LA. Bernard's closed its location at the Mall at Chestnut Hill in early 2013 as it prepared to relocate to The Street. Meanwhile, the Mall announced in February that a new Tokyo Japanese Steak House would fill the space vacated by Bernard's. According to The Street's website, Bernard's offers Asian cuisine with "only the freshest ingredients and the finest aromatic spices…

The Asian restaurant was formerly located in the Mall at Chestnut Hill.
Have you been missing the food from Bernard's restaurant in the Mall at Chestnut Hill? Have no fear. The Asian eatery, which recently closed its mall location, will be opening up a new spot at The Street in Chestnut Hill. So, when can you expect an opening? According to WS Development Field Marketing Manager Allison Yee, Bernard's is aiming for an opening in late March. The new location will be situated on the lower level of the new building currently being constructed on the former Macy's site, Yee said. It will face Route 9 and sit between the Showcase Super Lux lobby and City Sports. Bernard's joins a slew of other new tenants planning to open at The Street (formerly the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center), which is currently undergoing a …

WS Development announced Friday the National Amusements Cinema will be a Cinema de Luxe, and teased two other stores coming to the shopping center.
Pinkberry will soon be joining the line-up of stores in the revamped Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, joining Shake Shack, which announced it was coming to Chestnut Hill last week, Sports Club/LA and a National Amusements theatre. In an email sent Friday afternoon, WS Development Director of Corporate Marketing David Fleming told Patch that the frozen yogurt shop is coming in addition to Bernard's restaurant and a Cinema de Luxe. The new tenants will be located in a new, 115,000-square-foot building that will be built on the former Macy's site. Pinkberry, a high-end frozen yogurt shop from the West Coast, also has locations in Cambridge and Boston's Back Bay. Bernard's is currently located in the Mall at Chestnut Hill.
