Newton Chamber President Excited for "Challenge" of Framingham Job

Framingham selectmen decided Thursday night to offer the Town Manager job to Bob Halpin.

After almost a year at the helm of the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce, Bob Halpin says he's ready for the "tremendous challenge" ahead of him as Framingham Town Manager.  The Framingham Board of Selectmen unanimously decided Thursday night to offer the town manager job to Halpin, who was one of three candidates up for the position.  "I think I bring a unique set of skills [to the job]," Halpin told Newton Patch Friday. "I'm looking forward to engaging with the community." Halpin, a Concord resident, has more than 25 years of experience in local government and served as town manager in Westford and North Andover.
