The Eagles paraded around campus with their NCAA title trophy and addressed their fans.

Members Boston College's 2012 NCAA hockey national championship team boarded trolleys outside their home rink at Conte Formum for a parade around the campus, up Commonwealth Avenue and to Thomas "Tip" O'Neill Plaza on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles captured their latest title, and their fifth overall, on Saturday with a 4-1 win over Ferris State in Tampa, Fla. Team members showed off their trophy to their fans, including Sen. John Kerry and Newton Mayor Setti Warren, both of whom have degrees from BC. The win was the fifth overall for head coach Jerry York, who hails from Watertown, and his fourth with BC, which is also his alma mater. Boston College Hockey Team to Hold Celebration, Parade

The men's hockey team took home a national title over the weekend.

Following their NCAA Frozen Four Championship win on Saturday, members of the Boston College men's hockey team will be coming home to celebrate in style.  Boston College will hold a parade for the men's hockey team Tuesday (April 10) starting at 5:30 p.m. According to an email from BC Athletics, the parade will begin at Conte Forum, travel through campus, up Commonwealth Avenue and end at O'Neil Plaza.  At 6 p.m., a championship celebration will be held in the plaza with special guests, former championship team members and the recently-crowned National Champions. Boston College Men's Hockey Team Wins National Title

The Eagles defeated Ferris State 4-1 in the NCAA final in Tampa Saturday night.

The Boston College Eagles are coming home with the school's fifth ice hockey national title, and earned their coach – Watertown's Jerry York – his fifth title and his fourth at BC. The Eagles defeated Ferris St. 4-1 in the title game, played Saturday night in Tampa, Fla. "I thought our club played very well against a very good team," Parker told ESPN2 after the game. York credited his goalie, Parker Milner, with an excellent game. The netminder had 27 saves.  Boston College struck first, when Steven Whitney knocked in a rebound 3:18 into the first period.
