With a solid week of practice under its belt, the Newton North High School football team is gearing up for the annual Thanksgiving Day game against Bay State Conference-foe Brookline. “I think we’re two equal teams,” said Tigers coach Peter Capodilupo. ”They’ve won their last three-out-of-four games. It’s always a game between us. It’s a rivalry game in which anything can happen.” The rivalry, which stretches back to 1894, is a prerogative every year for Newton North as Capodilupo noted that their number one pre-season goal is always to beat Brookline.
