Thanks Mama, an online cloth diaper retailer, is based out of West Newton.
There are many online retailers out there selling cloth diapers and other green baby items, but one of the best is located right here in Newton. Thanks Mama began in 2002, but when the original owner moved out of the country, current owners Helena and Kosta Shumakin bought the company and turned it into what it is today. Kosta previously worked for an alternative energy company, but was looking to make a career change. When his wife, Helena, was pregnant with their daughter, she began reading about cloth diapering. Once they discovered Thanks Mama was for sale, everything just came together.
